Why We Built This

AIPricely started out of a genuine frustration. In late 2025, I was building a side project and needed to choose between Claude, GPT-4o, and Gemini for the backend. Every pricing page used different units — one charged per character, another per 1,000 tokens, another per message. Comparing them meant opening five browser tabs and doing mental math with incomplete information.

I am a software engineer, and I built AIPricely to solve that problem — not just for myself, but for every developer, freelancer, and startup founder who has ever tried to calculate whether an AI subscription pays for itself. The goal is simple: give you accurate, comparable, up-to-date pricing information in one place, so you can make the decision in minutes instead of hours.

Who is behind AIPricely?

I am an independent software engineer with over a decade of experience building and scaling applications. I built AIPricely to bring transparency and clarity to AI pricing, making it easier for developers and businesses to evaluate their options accurately. I personally oversee the data collection and verify the latest pricing updates across the AI landscape to ensure you always have the most accurate information.

What AIPricely Covers

We currently track 42 AI tools across four categories: text generation and reasoning models, image generation platforms, video generation tools, and AI coding assistants. For each tool, we document:

  • Every publicly listed pricing tier, including free, pro, enterprise, and API plans
  • Technical limits: context window sizes, rate limits, message caps, and token budgets
  • API pricing in per-million-token format, standardized so plans are directly comparable
  • Model availability per plan (which model you actually get access to at each price point)
  • Features that affect real-world value: multimodal support, API access, mobile apps, caching discounts

We also publish deep editorial guides — detailed comparisons, cost breakdowns, and usage analyses written for practitioners, not marketing teams.

How We Collect and Verify Pricing Data

All pricing data on AIPricely is collected directly from official vendor pricing pages, official API documentation, and official product announcements. We do not source pricing from third-party databases or scrape user-submitted figures.

Our verification process works as follows:

  1. Initial collection: When a new tool is added, we review the official pricing page, the API documentation (where applicable), and any official launch announcements from the company's blog or press releases.
  2. Spot checks: We periodically revisit pricing pages for major tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Midjourney, Cursor) because these update frequently — sometimes with no public announcement.
  3. News monitoring: We follow official changelogs, AI news outlets, and developer community forums to catch price changes, model updates, and plan restructurings as they happen.
  4. Correction policy: If a user or reader notices a discrepancy, we verify it against official sources and correct it within 48 hours. Contact us at the link below.

We flag tools with complex or opaque pricing (enterprise-only tiers with no listed price, usage-based billing with highly variable cost) clearly on their respective pages, rather than inventing a number.

Editorial Standards

AIPricely earns no commission or referral fee from any AI tool listed on the site. We are not paid to feature, rank, or recommend any product. Our editorial reviews — including the pros, cons, and verdict sections on each tool page — are written based on our own assessment of the product's value relative to its price.

We do show Google AdSense display advertising. These ads are served automatically and are not editorially connected to our tool coverage. We do not accept sponsored listings or paid reviews.

Our comparison guides are written as editorial analysis. Where we include benchmark data, we cite publicly available benchmark results (such as MMLU, SWE-bench, and HLE scores) from the respective vendors or independent evaluations. We note when benchmark conditions differ across models, and we try to be transparent about what a benchmark does and does not tell you about real-world usability.

Coverage Scope and Limitations

We do our best to keep data current, but pricing in the AI industry changes rapidly. A tool's pricing tier, context window, or model availability can change with a few hours' notice — and sometimes changes without public announcement at all. Treat the figures on AIPricely as a strong starting point, then verify the current pricing on the vendor's official site before making a financial commitment.

We currently do not cover: on-premise or self-hosted AI deployment costs, per-seat enterprise licensing deals negotiated directly with vendors, or custom API pricing offered only under enterprise contracts. If a tool only offers custom pricing, we list it as "Contact for pricing" on the relevant page.

Currency and Pricing Display

All base prices on AIPricely are collected in USD, which is the currency most AI vendors use for their official published pricing. We offer a real-time currency conversion feature (using live exchange rates) to display approximate prices in GBP, EUR, INR, AUD, and other common currencies. These conversions are estimates — vendors may charge different amounts in local currencies due to regional pricing policies, VAT, or other factors.
